Dear members past and present,
It is with a heavy heart that I send this email/post to you all. As you may have heard PJWC will be coming to an end. Multiple conversations have been had and the end result is always the same. In short we just don't have enough members or board members to stay afloat. As a foundation raising money this is a business and many of us cannot commit to a second job. Of course the last few years Covid has been a huge problem for many volunteer groups. We also lost our home at Deicke for the last two years.
So this summer our goal is to finalize all paperwork, empty out the storage unit, tie up loose ends and disburse remaining funds and dissolve the club.
Of course if there is anyone out there that wants to carry on the club in any form you are welcome to reach out to me. If the foundation is too big there was discussion of just starting a social club.
I am super proud of my years in this club. We have done so many wonderful things for our community and Make-A-Wish. Friendships have been made that will last a life time. I encourage us all to continue with volunteering and making a change for the good where ever we can.
I would love to plan one last get together to celebrate the past 60 plus years of PJWC and get as many past members together to celebrate and honor PJWC. If you would like to help plan send me a text or email. I only have so many emails on file so please share with past Juniors.
